July 1, 1776: Congress is debating the Declaration. In Philadelphia, rumors fly. Encounter 18th-century townspeople with strong feelings on both sides of the debate over Independence. Experience the tension and excitement surrounding the signing of the Declaration as Colonial guide Timothy Matlack escorts guests to some of Philadelphias historic treasures, meeting Loyalists and Patriots who make this thrilling time come alive.
